It's Saturday at Emerald City Comicon and you can feel it; the streets are teeming, people are emailing me asking how they can meet Jason Momoa, and Stan Lee just whizzed by me on a motorized cart in the Sheraton.
Here's what's going on:
Outlander fans are having the time of their time today with autographs and photo ops.
The Main Stage is obviously the place to be:
- Robert Kirkman will kick off the day at 11 with a Q&A.
- Evangeline Lilly takes over at 12:15, followed by Gates McFadden at 1:30.
- Jess Harnell, Troy Baker, Jim Cummings and others do a live reading of Twisted 2:45.
- Millie Bobbie Brown, aka Eleven, arrives at 4:30.
- Then Todd McFarlane and Stan Lee will dazzle you at 5:45.
- Finally we have the Western Championships of Cosplay at 7:30.
There are a ton of panels. My big picks are the panel on Artificial Intelligence at 6:45 tonight and the panel at 4 on FTL and artificial gravity in sci-fi. But there are a ton of others:
Plenty of cosplay panels - not a surprise given the championships tonight.
Comics reign supreme: Top Cow, Boom, Skybound, CBLDF, Ted Naifeh, DC, Hellboy and others will present, but you'll also get to discuss black comic creators, LGBTQ, science fiction, smut and more.
Today is more of a Hollywood day than others: legends like Peter Mayhem (Chewbacca) and Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger) will have their own panels and there are others on Star Trek, Man of Action, and science fiction in movies.
