The nominees for 2011 Eisner Awards, the Oscars of the Comics Industry, have been announced here.
Titles like Morning Glories, Locke and Key, Darwyn Cooke's Parker: The Outfit, Chew and American Vampire aren't much of a surprise, but there are a few atypical nominees. The Eisners tend to be hit and miss with me, but if you're looking for something new that your comic retailer doesn't carry, they are a good place to discover a favorite new writer/artist/title.
Winners will be announced at the Friday night award ceremony on 22 July.
