I'm not sure if I'll actually do it, but based on the emails I get, there are a ton of writers swarming the Con each summer.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12998210733189467877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4392159341550196250.post-47281112972543155072013-07-29T21:19:39.809-07:002013-07-29T21:19:39.809-07:00Would your writer event be for comic book writers ...Would your writer event be for comic book writers only?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4392159341550196250.post-26141581879157861972013-07-28T19:49:02.202-07:002013-07-28T19:49:02.202-07:00I've never volunteered myself, but I do know i...I've never volunteered myself, but I do know it's insanely competitive - like everything else at SDCC. The staff prioritizes returning volunteers so they'll have an edge over you. Do your best (apply as soon as they announce that applications are open and play up your experience attending the Con) but don't get too attached to the idea.

I don't know how the timing went this year, but in 2012, volunteer applications were cut off just a few weeks before the first public badge sale. Applicants were notified within 10 days so they knew whether or not they'd been accepted.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12998210733189467877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4392159341550196250.post-20908756800293365242013-07-28T19:34:28.961-07:002013-07-28T19:34:28.961-07:00I think that you get your volunteer acceptance let...I think that you get your volunteer acceptance letter before the public badge sale. I do not know, I've never volunteered before so this will end up being an adventure. Do you have any suggestions for volunteering?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4392159341550196250.post-70361761240478227002013-07-28T18:49:57.052-07:002013-07-28T18:49:57.052-07:00Yes, you can do that. For example, if I am a volunteer for thursday, friday and want to buy a regular badge for saturday, can I do that? Thank you.
